Here in this post, you can get absolutely free Oil Paint Plugin For Photoshop 7.0, CS3, CS4, CS5 Version. Actually what I’m sharing with you Oil Paint plugin is an alternative tool called the GreysShop. And this oil paint GreysShop photoshop plugin you can use it in any of adobe photoshop version with easily. Originally Answered: how can we add the oil paint effect in photoshop CS3? Use combination of filters. (Plastic wrap, dry brush, poster edges, glass) change the density of the filters and you may get approximately good effect like oil paint. This is the simplest way to achieve the oil painting effect.

Long story short... CS6 came with this delicious Oil Paint Filter thing but I cannot afford it because I am nothing but a poor* guy trying to make a living out of printer inks, light gauge steel studs and wall cladding. But I do have a lower version of Photoshop CS Poor (CS4)... But I badly wanted this filter especially after seeing the delicious images produced by artists all over the Internets using this filter to make images look oil painted and somewhat hand drawn...
UNCLE MUGEN wants this filter so bad because I produce my BG's using Sketchup because unlike most BG artist... I UNCLE MUGEN puts more emphasis on Speed and Quantity while retaining some 'minor' quality (aka I'm too lazy to put some effort) and then post process it in Photoshop 7 (yep... the old Photoshop from way WAY back)... While I have come a long way there is still this lingering thing hovering above my head that says...
'Your BG still looks 3D pig disgusting. Post process it a bit more!'
For the longest time... I UNCLE MUGEN is searching for this Holy Grail method of producing cheap BG's for OELVN (aka EVN says the hipster crowd ) without putting much effort. And then I accidentally stumbled on 'something' which lead me to this plugin called 'PIXEL BENDER' which does have the same Oil Paint Filter found in the CS6... OK... Now UNCLE MUGEN is on to something... and sure it was... I UNCLE MUGEN now have the same Oil Filter on my older CS4 so I do not have to waste money on CS6...
So what does it do?...
Well... You load an image and let the magical gnomes inside the filter smear your image into something wonderful!...
And I applied some of them in my 3D Pig Disgusting BG's and here they are... it is deliciously WONDERFUL!!! See the awful examples below.
I must also take note that this filter seems to work best on really large images but don't take my word for it... I'm just a Photoshop Noob** like most new people here...
Long story short... You can now have delicious CS6 Oil Filter on your older Photoshop so you don't have to spend money on CS6...
Anyway, you can download it here... it is FREE so do not worry...
